My mum managed to capture the moment during and after she asked to take a photograph of me

John Watson’sSherlock Holmes’ blog update [x]
During the post itself Sherlock writes how while John and Mary are on their
Sex Holidayhoneymoon "it is very nice to have the place to myself without their meaningless chatter distracting me from more important things."
Just look at the comments. He’s so lonely. He repetitively calls out to all those reading, virtually begging someone to ask him about the Mayfly Man case. He just wants somebody to notice and listen to him, especially since John and Mary have gone away and he’s left alone. He doesn’t crave solitude, he desires friendship and communication and interaction with others. When he seeks it he is ignored or rejected. Maybe this is just speculation on my part, but this could be how the majority of His Last Vow plays out, at least for Sherlock. His wish be a part of something, to be a prominent part John and Mary’s lives is strong, but perhaps this cannot be so. After hearing Mrs Hudson’s story about her once best friend leaving the wedding early and Sherlock mirroring that, coupled with his own words “Well you’re hardly gonna need me around now,” Sherlock is becoming unwillingly isolated. What effect will that have on him? I mean we haven’t really heard or seen much regarding the two years he was disassembling Moriarty’s web. All we’ve really seen is Sherlock hallucinating John’s voice during Empty Hearse. What else has happened to him during this time? What effect did two years of isolation as well as torture and who knows what else have on him? John and Mary’s marriage and altered relationship with Sherlock will clearly affect him, but to what extent?
I made myself sad. I’m going to stop now.
